Before you write
Names not detected? Name and place detection needs Apple Intelligence (iOS 26 / macOS 26). On earlier systems, structured PII is still redacted — add names yourself under Custom in the review sheet.
Missed something? In the review sheet you can deselect false hits and add your own words or phrases to redact before exporting.
Scan or photo not reading? OCR runs automatically per page. Make sure the file isn't password-protected and that the text is legible, then import it again.
App won't open? AnonymFish requires iOS / iPadOS 18 or later, or macOS 15 or later. Check your version in Settings / System Settings.
